Terms and Conditions

General

All prices quoted are in British pounds sterling (£) - see currency page for more details.
All prices quoted exclude postage and packing charges. These will be added as explained on our postage and packing information page. Our website automatically calculates and adds postage and packing to your order for all parts of the world.
Credit and debit cards will not be charged until the day of despatch of your order.
These terms and conditions do not affect our customers' statutory rights.

VAT (Value Added Tax)

Value Added Tax is the local sales tax.
All prices quoted include VAT at the rate applicable in the United Kingdom (currently 20.0 %).
VAT is charged where applicable on all goods despatched to addresses in the UK and the rest of the European Union.
On orders for despatch to destinations outside the European Union where the value of goods would be over £30.00, the VAT will be deducted. Under this amount, the VAT will be retained in lieu of a small order surcharge to cover handling costs.

Payment

Payment by credit card (VISA, American Express or Mastercard) and for UK customers only by MAESTRO (was SWITCH) can be accepted over the internet and is the simplest way to pay for your order. Please complete the form on our Secure Server (which you will find once you have gone to the checkout). Alternatively, you may send your credit card details by fax or phone them through - there are more instructions about how to do this at the end of the checkout process.

If you do not wish to pay by credit or debit card, we can also accept payment from UK customers by cheque and we can accept payment by Bank Draft, International Money Order in pounds sterling or cash in pounds sterling or Euros only. (If you wish to pay in Euros, please submit your order and indicate in the special instructions box that you need a precise quotation in Euros so you will know how much to send.)

In these cases, please print the final page in the checkout process (headed Thank You) and enclose a copy of this with your payment. Please wait for confirmation from us that all the items you have ordered are available in the quantities you require. You will immediately receive an automatically generated e-mail which confirms the details we have received from you - this does NOT confirm that everything is available. You will then receive another e-mail from us as soon as we have checked stock availability. As a general rule, we try not to have items which are currently out of stock listed on the site, so usually if it's on the site there should be at least 1 available; however, if you are ordering more than 1 of any item, it is possible that we may not be able to supply the quantity you ask for.

Complaints Procedure

If you wish to contact us concerning any problems you have experienced with any aspect of our service or using our website then use any of the contact methods (mail, FAX, Telephone or e-mail) shown on our contacts page (return to the homepage and look in the menu on the left hand side to find this).
Complaints will be acknowledged as soon as possible and dealt with as a matter of priority. (We are a small organisation, and if Mr Somerville and/or the web manager is away from the office on business or otherwise, e-mails and other messages may not get immediate attention. Notice of absence of more than a couple of days will usually be posted on our homepage.)

If you have any questions/comments about our terms & conditions, you should send an e-mail to us by using our contact form.
